Matinloc Island, Paradise Philippines
Matiloc's mouthwash-blue lagoon rewards the adventurous. It is accessible only to swimmers, via a small crack in the cliffs. Once in the lagoon there's a perfectly elegant silky beach and private bay protected by towering limestone cliffs. There's no accommodation here- most people base themselves in nearby El Nido and take boat trips out to explore the waterfalls, lagoons and jungles of Matinloc and the other 1,700 islands that make up the Palawan archipelago in paradise Philippines.
